Back Road Story is rapidly becoming one of the America's favorite new country bands. The band consists of award winning lead singer, Chelsey Seboldt, bassist/guitarist, Jacob Watson, guitarist, Chris Beasley, and drummer, Dakota Watson. Back Road Story has shared the stage with multiple nationally touring artists including Brett Young, Carly Pearce, LANCO, Lindsay Ell, Drew Baldridge, Michael Ray, and Michel Tyler. Back Road Story was nominated for Group of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year in the 2016 and 2017 KTTS Springfield, Missouri Country Music Awards, making them one of the top three music groups and female vocalists in the Southwest Missouri market. Most recently, they were nominated for Best Country Band, Best Overall Female Vocalist, Best Cover Band, and Best Drummer in the 2017 "The Local Magazine" Music Awards. Most recently, Chelsey Seboldt was awarded the 2017 KTTS Springfield CMA Female Vocalist of the Year. Some of the band's top performances include the Route 66 Festival opening for Lindsay Ell and Dallas Smith, with a two-day crowd over 38,000, the O'Reilly Automotive company picnic, with a crowd of over 6,500, and a weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, including a show at the world famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge with standing-room only crowd, a night at Club Rodeo Wichita opening for Brett Young with 1,000 fans and another performance at Club Rodeo Wichita with Carly Pearce and LANCO. Furthermore, Back Road Story gained over 16,000 new fans and followers on their social media outlets in 2016 and have gained over 15,000 followers in 2017. Some of the top 2017 Back Road Story performances include shows at Ballpark Village in St. Louis, MO, Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Kansas City, MO, and Springfield Expo Center in Springfield, MO, with a crowd of over 10,000 people.
Back Road Story is influenced by Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, and many others. Each band member has a different taste for great music and brings an individual and unique element to the band. Their debut single, "Nothing Left to Lose," was released in late 2017 and climbed into the top 100 Music Row Charts in a few months thereafter, gaining attention from Nashville executives and venues nationwide.The song can be currently heard on the radio in multiple states. Their live set includes classic country, modern country, and even some classic rock songs. Chelsey has been compared to Carrie Underwood countless times in terms of her voice, tone, and singing style. Back Road Story’s live performances excite audiences as they continue to break attendance records at the venues they perform at. Playing a mix of cover songs as well as Back Road Story original tunes, their shows continue to evolve and bring something new to every single live performance. Their increasing success and heightened popularity has gained attention from local press; being featured in the Springfield News-Leader multiple times as well as multiple appearances on the CBS and FOX affiliated television show, Ozarks Live, to perform their music. Chelsey has also sang the national anthem at various sporting events with thousands in attendance, heightening the bands popularity in even more.
